Cleric preaches holiness at Caleb University’s prayer forum

Caleb University, Imota, Lagos, held a prayer forum on Monday, February 16, 2026, to prepare staff and students for the new semester’s academic activities. The university management puts together the prayer forum to provide a collective space for spiritual connection, fostering mutual support, encouragement, and shared intercession. It acts as a community for believers to align with God’s will, find comfort, and experience shared faith. The event coincided with the university’s 15^th convocation ceremony held the same week. It featured musical presentations by the guest artiste, Olayiwola Jagun and the university’s Priestwood Orchestra, among others, In his address, the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olalekan Asikhia, charged the staff and students of the institution to brace up for the task ahead in the second part of the 2026/27 academic session. He admonished members of the university community to put God first in all their activities, The Vice-Chancellor also prayed for the graduands and wished them the best in their future endeavours. The Senior Pastor, Jesus International Ministries, Ijebu-Ode, Rev. Ayodele, charged the gathering to embrace holiness in their undertakings. Ayodele, who supported his remarks with quotes from the bible, warned of the danger of a reckless lifestyle. “Worship centres are springing up everywhere, but there is no holiness. No impact whatsoever. A lot of people have been defiled by corruption in the world. “As such, many no longer experience God’s presence. Defilement caused by earthly pleasure removed people from the table of the Almighty. “The danger in all these is that when you are removed from the file, you are no longer in God’s agenda,” the preacher counselled.
